Nov. 4 – checked in at Brisbane

Six days of pleasant sailing to Brisbane with only one day of no wind. We cleared quarantine on Monday and they took very little food stuff, however, the timber inspection was quite involved requiring we empty the quarter berth and all storage areas (we passed). Our first night we watched the sky turn vivid orange with downtown Brisbane in the background and planes landing over the Sir Leo Hielscher Bridge. Boat repairs are in the works, we’ve booked our flight home and even found a way to ship our excess baggage home for about one boat buck (1 boat buck = $1,000). It’s a relief to be back in an English-speaking country again.
