June 14 – back in Savusavu, Fiji

We arrived Savusavu in record time – 7 days 23 hour and xx minutes.  The last day was under heavy weather with strong wind.  We arrived mid day Friday in time to check in and spend a courtesy night on a mooring.  Apparently all the moorings were reserved for the Oyster Rally or ICA rally, but we lucked out being in the right place at the right time and got a mooring anyway.  It’s been a bumpy couple of days adjusting to weather and food so I was thrilled to saute broccoli, brussel sprouts, leeks and capsicums with some rice.  During the passage it was minimal eating and we both lost weight.

This was one of the few decent meals we had after we left Opua.  Note the foul weather gear which we wore the whole way to Fiji.
