Oct. 27 – Port Vila – one last time

We spent five days listening to weather reports, downloading grib files and strategizing with other cruisers how best to sail back to New Zealand.  There was a brief weather window so we checked out on Friday, the 26th, paid our various fees, and made some quick trips to New Leader and Bon Marche for fruit and veggies.

We untied the mooring ball at 10am with banana bread baking in the oven.

They were getting ready for elections the first Tuesday in November.  They’re very serious about their politics, just like Fiji.
