Anchor was up at 9am and we motored, then sailed about 6kt tacking most of the way. We arrived in Budd Reef about 1pm along with Soggy Paws, Challenger, Sidewinder and Eagles Wings. It was very confusing where we should anchor, especially with so many boats. We all motored around Yanuca like dogs circling their beds. We decided to go around the corner and anchor at School Bay in front of the school (16-29.711S, 179-41.798W) in 50 ft of water with 175 ft scope. Willy, the spokesman for the village and son of the chief, was in radio contact with all of us and offered to come picked us all up in the village launch. We were thrilled to not have to take the dinghy all the way into the village for sevusevu. We met the chief and had a brief welcoming ceremony along with blessing the kava and a tour of the village.
