We left Pago Pago just before sunset and arrived in Apia, Western Samoa the next morning. We’re in the marina next to our sister boat Pua’ena who we haven’t seen since Moorea. Check-in was not as easy as Pago Pago and we’re having problems hooking up to the electricity on the dock so we’ve made several trips to the auto store for a charger. The U.S. is 110 60 Hz and the rest of the world is 220 50 Hz. Wifi is not easy to come by, you have to buy a card at the market and it’s very expensive. Samoa has rugby fever. It’s the world cup and we see their team name everywhere, Manu. Oh, and it’s hot and humid.
Other than that….
We rented a car with Mark and Dorothy on Pua’ena so we could do an island tour.
