laughing gas and sutures

sutures sounds like the french word for stitches.  at least that’s what the doctor called them.  Jim had his dental issues in ecuador, i have my toenail issue in tahiti.   in lieu of going into gorey details, i’ll just say my toenail needed to be sewn back on the other day while i was breathing laughing gas.  i wasn’t laughing nor was Jim who held the mask and took hold of my arm.  i’m doing fine now.  Jim’s arm has regained feeling.  my big toe bandage prevents flipflops or shoes from being worn and we’ve delayed our departure for a week or so.    life has slowed to reading, lounging and playing cards with Rosemary and Christa.
