we took a half day tour of the island with Dave who was chock full of information about Tahitian history. the struggle between the english and the french, invasions by various white men etc. tahiti today suffers from the same political shenanigans, unemployment and decline in education as the rest of us. but they suffer in spectacular beauty. here is a smattering of what we saw.
