June 2 – Daniel’s Bay and attack of the noseeums

We left Taiohae today after a very long walk to the only hotel for breakfast and a book exchange.  Very $$$$$ but we needed the body fuel for the arduous work getting up bow and stern anchors and ensuring problems with each, plus dinghy tied down on deck.  There is nothing relaxing about today.

We arrived in Daniel’s Bay late afternoon and took a quick dinghy tour of this small bay we share with 8 other boats.   There are way too many noseeums and mosquitoes for our liking so we’ll leave tomorrow morning for Controller Bay.  Much of our conversation revolves around how can we improve on the latest problem and how can we streamline the hours it takes to get ready to leave.  I dream of davits on the stern for hanging the dinghy.

this is Taiohae Bay, Nuku Hiva, the day we left.  no shots of Daniel’s Bay as it was too late in the day.
